Travel Medicine
Whether travelling for business or for pleasure Ballajura Medical Centre can provide you and your family with a full range of travel medicine services including:
- A full suite of immunisations, including Yellow Fever, Hep A&B, Tetanus and many more
- Medications
- Medical advice
Our practice is an accredited Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre. Our team of travel health doctors and nurses can advise you and your family of the medical requirements for your intended destination and ensure that you are aware of any potential medical risks in that location.
We can also advise you on the regulations regarding travelling with medications and ensure that everyone has the required medical and vaccination documentation that may be required by customs officials at their destination.
For optimum results you should book this consult at least 2 months before travel. However it is still better to be late than never!
When making your appointment please advise the reception staff that you require a travel consultation to allow adequate time with our travel team.
Please bring with you any records of your previous vaccinations.
For complicated travel issues you may be asked to attend a follow up appointment.
Fees are the same as our GP consultation rates. The cost of the vaccine itself is of course additional.
Anyone travelling overseas should see a doctor regarding their travel plans. Even if you think your travel destination is safe, keep in mind that disease outbreaks can and do happen.
